President-elect Donald Trump clarifies his position on Nuclear Proliferation

Pot, meet kettle.

He also said he would be open to allowing Japan and South Korea to build their own nuclear arsenals rather than depend on the American nuclear umbrella for their protection against North Korea and China. If the United States “keeps on its path, its current path of weakness, they’re going to want to have that anyway, with or without me discussing it,” Mr. Trump said.

There’s that pesky reality getting in the way again.

But what is reality anyway? And why is Trump being hounded for contradictory policy statements he’s made in the past? And why is he being questioned for now clearly lying about having made those statements?

Everyone smudges the truth a little, from time to time, right? I mean, it’s not as if making an insanely threatening statement in front of the whole world is reason to hold someone to account, especially not when they’re about to become the most powerful person in the world.

Besides, if you follow the theory of Quantum Mechanics, there is a universe out there where Donald Trump DIDN’T say these things and he’s actually telling the truth about it.

Why can’t people just focus on that alternate reality instead and leave the man alone?
